Senior Research Associate (Molecular)

Location: San Carlos, CA
Contract: 7 Months
Pay Rate: $40hour
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Research Associate to support our diverse antibody therapeutics pipeline. This role provides exposure to the drug development process, from early research through development and manufacturing, with opportunities to learn new methods, design experiments, and present scientific findings.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and perform molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and nucleic acid extraction.
• Process primary cell samples and perform flow cytometry.
• Work with E. coli and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
• Contribute to new product development initiatives.
• Design and execute experiments with minimal technical supervision.
• Compile and analyze experimental data for study reports.
• Prepare and present PowerPoint presentations summarizing findings.
• Document and communicate experimental results accurately and comprehensively.
• Coordinate activities with cross-functional groups and project teams.
• Discuss experimental plans and present data to project team members.
• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in one or more molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and nucleic acid extraction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong experimental design and execution skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required.
• Bachelor’s: 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s: 2+ years of relevant experience.
