Senior Reservoir Engineer — Houston<\/b>

Energy Talent Search is working with a growing oil and gas company in Houston that is continuing to expand its engineering organization.

This is a highly visible Reservoir Engineering role supporting conventional onshore oil & gas assets and reserve growth initiatives within a lean operational environment.

The company is looking for an engineer with strong experience tied to:

• infill drilling

Responsibilities include:
<\/div>
• Identify and evaluate opportunities tied to reserve growth and production optimization
<\/div>
• Support development and exploitation projects across producing assets
<\/div>
• Analyze production performance, pressure data, and field trends
<\/div>
• Evaluate development opportunities involving drilling, recompletions, and secondary recovery initiatives
<\/div>
• Work closely with operations and production teams to advance development projects
<\/div>
• Perform technical and economic evaluations tied to field development opportunities
<\/div>
• Support reserve -related reporting and engineering analysis
<\/div>
• Assist with field development planning and optimization initiatives
<\/div>
• Provide engineering recommendations focused on maximizing asset value and long -term reserve potential
<\/div>
<\/p>
This role offers strong visibility, broad engineering exposure, and meaningful operational impact within a fast -moving environment where engineering recommendations directly influence development strategy and reserve growth initiatives.

Requirements<\/h3>
<\/p>
• Petroleum Engineering degree required
<\/div>
• Approximately 5–10 years of oil & gas industry experience
<\/div>
• Strong reservoir engineering experience supporting conventional onshore oil & gas assets
<\/div>
• Experience supporting reserve growth and development initiatives
<\/div>
• Mature field development experience
<\/div>
• Production optimization experience
<\/div>
• Secondary recovery / waterflood experience preferred
<\/div>
• Experience evaluating recompletions and infill drilling opportunities
<\/div>
• Strong economic evaluation and project screening capabilities
<\/div>
• Experience working closely with operations and production teams
<\/div>
• Strong analytical and technical problem -solving skills
<\/div>
• Ability to work independently inside a lean operational environment
<\/div>
• Strong communication and organizational skills
<\/div>
• Experience supporting field development and reserve optimization projects
<\/div>

Benefits<\/h3>

• Base salary target approximately $145K–$190K depending on experience and overall fit
<\/div>
• Bonus target approximately 15%–20%
<\/div>
