Senior Server Engineer - Jersey City, NJ - Contract - $51.00-$61.00 Per Hr
Join our team as a Senior Server Engineer in Jersey City, NJ, on a contract basis. You will architect and support a production server environment, focusing on Windows systems. The role requires extensive experience with server technologies and proactive performance monitoring.
Description
- Provide expert-level support and strategy for Windows server environments.
- Engage in performance monitoring using specialized tools.
- Administer and maintain Windows infrastructure and applications.
- Participate in planning and implementing new projects.
- Ensure system reliability and high availability.
- Collaborate with vendors and global teams to maintain standards.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor virtual environments for capacity and workload, implementing necessary changes.
- Support and build failover clusters and work with stretch clusters.
- Provide multi-level support for production environments.
- Perform system upgrades and security patching.
- Manage incident and problem resolution for production issues.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in server engineering preferred.
- Expert knowledge of multiple Windows OS versions and enterprise components.
- Strong understanding of cluster technologies and load balancing.
- Good knowledge of virtualization technologies and products.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
