Position Overview

BizFirst is supporting our client in the search for a Senior SharePoint Developer to provide specialized expertise in SharePoint Online and on-premises SharePoint administration. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and managing SharePoint environments, automating tasks using PowerShell, and migrating sites from on-premises to SharePoint Online.

This role requires a strong understanding of SharePoint development, administration, and configuration, including integration with Microsoft 365 services and third-party tools such as Sharegate and Nintex Workflows. The position is onsite at the Pentagon and requires an active Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a polygraph if needed.

 

What You Will Do

As a Senior SharePoint Developer, you will:

  • Develop and maintain SharePoint applications for SharePoint Online and on-premises environments.
  • Automate tasks using PowerShell, including deployment, disk management, audit logging, and reporting.
  • Migrate SharePoint sites from on-premises to SharePoint Online, utilizing Sharegate.
  • Administer SharePoint Online, including tenant management, site access controls, term stores, content type galleries, and API integrations.
  • Manage SharePoint infrastructure, including event logs, software updates, and cumulative updates to ensure system stability.
  • Develop and configure SharePoint architecture, including site collections, sub-sites, and security controls.
  • Utilize Internet Information Services (IIS) to install, configure, and manage SharePoint applications.
  • Create custom workflows, forms, and web parts to enhance SharePoint functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint deployment, configuration, and system issues.
  • Implement custom SharePoint features using Windows Workflow Foundation and Excel Services.
  • Utilize Visual Studio for SharePoint development and enterprise-wide enhancements.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a SharePoint Developer, with expertise in SharePoint Online and on-premises environments.
  • 3+ years of development experience using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET).
  • Bachelors or 10+ years of equivalent work experience
    Experience with Nintex Workflows, Power Platform, and Sharegate Migration Tool.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Designer, and Power Platform.
  • Hands-on SharePoint Online administration experience, including:
    • Managing tenant settings, security policies, and access controls.
    • Creating, deleting, and managing sites, storage limits, and sharing settings.
    • Deploying custom web parts and managing API integrations.
  • Experience installing and configuring SharePoint 2016+ environments, including cumulative updates.
  • Experience using PowerShell for automation, system maintenance, and reporting.
  • Experience with IIS for managing SharePoint applications and deployments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for deployment, configuration, and system issues.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio for SharePoint development and enhancements.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, including Visio.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Security+ or SharePoint-related certifications.
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal government environments.
