Morton is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications for a large professional services organization.
This role combines traditional software engineering with emerging AI technologies, focusing on building applications that leverage enterprise data to improve business intelligence, reporting, predictive analytics, and operational decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Microsoft-based software development, particularly C#, .NET, and SQL Server, along with hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications and integrating generative AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom enterprise applications using C#, .NET, SQL Server, and modern web technologies.
Build applications that leverage AI, generative AI, and large language models to automate workflows, analyze business data, and improve decision-making.
Develop reporting, analytical, and predictive solutions using enterprise data from financial, HR, client, and operational systems.
Integrate applications with enterprise data platforms, databases, third-party services, and APIs.
Develop tools that identify trends, forecast business outcomes, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.
Support existing business applications, integrations, enhancements, and modernization initiatives.
Troubleshoot production issues and participate in occasional after-hours deployments or application support.
Maintain technical documentation and follow established security, development, testing, and deployment standards.
Evaluate emerging AI tools and development technologies to improve application capabilities and development efficiency.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional software development experience, including application design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Strong hands-on development experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Microsoft-based application technologies.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL/T-SQL development, querying, database design, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated hands-on experience building or integrating AI-enabled applications, generative AI solutions, or LLM-based capabilities.
Experience developing and integrating REST APIs, web services, and enterprise applications.
Proficiency with modern web technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, and related frameworks.
Familiarity with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, source control, and modern software development practices.
Strong understanding of application architecture, secure coding, testing, and production support.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into functional applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Approximately 23 years of hands-on AI application development experience.
Experience with Azure AI services, generative AI APIs, LLMs, AI agents, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Experience developing applications that leverage large enterprise datasets for reporting, forecasting, predictive analytics, or trend analysis.
Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, or enterprise Data Lakehouse environments.
Experience with React, Angular, TypeScript, or other modern front-end frameworks.
Experience integrating applications with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph APIs, or Power Platform.
Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud deployments.
Background in legal, healthcare, financial services, or another professional services environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
