Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – Distributed Systems & Rust
Location: Austin, TX / Sunnyvale, CA
Job Type: Contract
Rate: $55/hour on C2C
Key Requirements:- Strong hands-on experience with Rust development.
- Experience with async/await, concurrency, Sync/Send, and modern Rust practices.
- Strong experience designing and implementing highly scalable applications and web services.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including distributed consensus, replication, and failure detection.
- Experience with concurrent programming, locking, memory synchronization, and atomic operations.
- Experience developing high-performance and maintainable systems.
- Strong understanding of testing, debugging, and production support.

- Kubernetes and container technologies.
- Linux system internals.
- Storage systems and internals.
- Backend web technologies.
The position involves working on a
distributed multi-tiered data orchestration service supporting critical AI/ML systems. The role requires strong ownership across the complete software lifecycle, from identifying improvements and implementation through production support.
