We are currently sourcing for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to work in Boston, MA!
A Digital Assets organization is developing a full-service enterprise-grade platform for storing, trading, and servicing digital assets, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. The goal within the Core Custody product area is to design and build a suite of digital asset services and investment applications to serve the unique and varying needs of institutional and retail investors.
As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring product quality across the digital asset platform. Working closely with engineers, product owners, and architects, you will design and implement automated testing solutions, contribute to testing frameworks, and help drive quality throughout the development lifecycle. You'll have opportunities to deepen your technical skills, collaborate across teams, and grow within a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Strong experience with test automation using languages such as Java, and frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, JUnit, or Spring Boot Test
Proficiency in databases, SQL, data validation, and understanding how to test data workflows
Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms, and containerization technologies such as Docker or ECS
Experience building and maintaining end-to-end and integration tests across distributed or microservice-based systems
Experience working with version control systems like Git
Proven understanding of Agile development processes and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices
Experience with AI-assisted test generation to improve automation coverage and efficiency is a plus
A proven foundation in software engineering or test automation (Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years of experience)
Ability to advocate for quality and influence peers through collaboration and technical reasoning
Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate test approaches to engineers, product partners, and leadership
Experience with requirements review, defect analysis, working with distributed teams, and assisting with test reporting
Analytical approach with the ability to diagnose issues and perform root-cause analysis
Adaptability, eagerness to learn new tools and internal platforms, and dedication to delivering high-quality solutions
Partner with developers and business stakeholders to embed quality into the team's workflow
Analyze requirements and identify potential risks early
Implement efficient automated test coverage for each story's "Definition of Done "
Mentor engineers on testing practices
Adopt and leverage existing testing solutions
Contribute to the continuous evolution of test strategies across product teams
