Company Description
We're representing a company that is redefining how organizations secure remote access to their private applications, data, and environments. Their platform replaces legacy business VPNs with a modern, zero trust security model designed for distributed work and cloud-native infrastructure. Trusted by engineering-forward organizations, they focus on providing reliable, maintainable, and scalable access control.
What You Will Do
Design, build, and maintain high-performance network infrastructure components that support a zero trust access platform.
Write systems-level code in C/C++, Rust, and/or Go to address complex networking and performance challenges.
Contribute to the architecture and evolution of core networking protocols, tunneling mechanisms, and traffic routing logic.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure infrastructure components are reliable, observable, and scalable.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning to maintain engineering quality standards.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and security vulnerabilities in network-critical systems.
Help shape the technical direction of infrastructure systems as the platform continues to grow.
Ideal Candidate Background
6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on network infrastructure or systems programming.
Strong proficiency in C, C++, Rust, or Go, with experience in systems-level or performance-sensitive codebases.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and tunneling protocols such as WireGuard and IPSec.
Experience building and operating infrastructure demanding high availability, low latency, and security correctness.
Comfortable working in a remote-first, collaborative engineering culture with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
Preferred
Experience with low-level systems work and a strong interest in cybersecurity and zero-trust access control.
Proven ability to own systems or components end-to-end, from design through build and iteration.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this role ranges from $170,000 to $220,000, commensurate with experience. This is a fully remote position within the United States, offering flexibility and a collaborative work environment.
