Senior Software Engineer

Pay: $90,699 annual minimum

The Kind of Work Youll be Doing: 

• Own end-to-end delivery of features and product initiatives from requirements discovery through deployment and iterative improvement

• Engage directly with ministry stakeholders to shape and refine requirements, translating ministry needs into well-scoped, technically sound solutions

• Use AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining full ownership of the resulting code, reviewing AI output critically, stepping in to modify or extend it directly, and recognizing and redirecting AI when its approach is flawed

• Oversee the quality and reliability of work within your area, validating outputs against ministry standards and adjusting approaches when needed

• Lead technical decision-making, including design tradeoffs, integration approaches, and build-versus-configure choices

• Mentor and provide specific, actionable technical guidance to less experienced engineers on the team, using code reviews as deliberate coaching moments rather than gatekeeping

• Contribute to function-level improvements in delivery practices, tooling, and technical standards

• Collaborate across stream disciplines development, data, design, and stakeholder management to deliver integrated, high-quality product solutions

• Document technical work clearly and maintain accurate records of system behavior, configurations, and decisions

Required Experience:

Knowledge of:

• Full Stack Development across front-end, back-end, APIs, business logic, and workflows end-to-end, with sufficient depth to independently write, debug, and refactor code at every layer without reliance on AI assistance
• Generative AI applied across the development lifecycle, including responsible use, output governance, and the common failure modes of AI-generated code (hallucinated APIs, subtle logic errors, security gaps, and architectural drift)
• Automation and agentic AI principles and tools

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software product delivery of increasing scope and complexity, or related field.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
