    About the RoleWe're looking for people in the Dallas market who are comfortable in an evolving environment, seek out efficiencies and continuous improvements, are detail‑oriented, and willing to take ownership across multiple accounting functions.Individuals in this position will not be locked into seeing one small part of the business. A successful accountant will have the ability to see the entirety of a growing business – preparing financial, providing investor reporting, and interfacing regularly with executives.Individuals in this position will be provided with mentorship and the ability to work with experienced accountants in financial services committed to development and a strong culture. This role is designed to grow in scope and responsibility over time as the business expands.Working in the accounting group, some of these responsibilities are in tandem or as a backup to other accounting, finance and operations personnel within the organization. The role has meaningful exposure to operational compliance and financial reporting, while providing opportunities to learn about the commercial finance industry.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and reconcile financial reporting, interest, loans and cashGeneral accounting entry and record keepingSet up and initiate wire transfersCalculate investor interest and feesPrepare and distribute monthly and quarterly investor reportingWork with outside auditors for tax preparation and audited financial statementsEnsure records maintained for reporting and lending activitiesManage accounts payable and third‑party invoicing and payments, as neededTransition repetitive tasks to near‑shore or automated optionsCompensation includes a salary of $65,000 to $85,000 with a bonus target of 15% paid annually based on company and individual performance.
