    Position Title: Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & AnalysisReports To: ControllerJob SummaryThe Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Analysis is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, and providing data-driven insights into company performance. This role supports the month-end and year-end close processes while analyzing financial data related to profitability, solvency, and operational efficiency across both company-wide and branch-level operations.The position works cross-functionally with leadership, including the CFO, Controller, and operational teams, to improve financial performance, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting, Analysis & InsightsPrepare and review monthly financial statements and internal management reportsAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, discrepancies, and performance driversProvide branch-level and consolidated financial analysis (profitability, cost trends, margin analysis)Identify profit leaks and recommend corrective actionsSupport forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling effortsCommunicate financial insights and recommendations to leadership (CFO, Controller, VP, Branch Managers)General Ledger & Close ProcessOversee and maintain the general ledger and chart of accountsPrepare and post journal entries ensuring accurate transaction recordingReconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies timelyLead and support month-end and year-end close processesEnsure timely and accurate financial reportingOperational & Cost AnalysisAnalyze branch and corporate operations for efficiency and cost optimizationEvaluate operational expenses and recommend cost-saving initiativesSupport leadership in evaluating financial impact of business decisions and special projectsInternal Controls & Process ImprovementDevelop and enhance internal controls to reduce financial and operational riskIdentify process improvement opportunities in accounting and reporting workflowsAssist in implementing automation, reporting enhancements, and system improvementsAudit, Tax & ComplianceEnsure financial reporting complies with GAAPSupport external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requestsAssist with tax compliance and audit support (federal, state, and local)QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA (preferred)Experience4–7 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a hybrid roleStrong experience with:General ledger and close processesFinancial analysis and reportingBudgeting and forecastingTechnical SkillsAdvanced Excel (required)ERP systems experience (Epicor preferred)SQL and/or reporting tools (e.g., Crystal Reports, Power BI – preferred)Core CompetenciesStrong knowledge of GAAP and corporate finance principlesAnalytical mindset with ability to evaluate financial performanceAbility to translate data into actionable insightsStrong communication and presentation skillsDetail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work cross-functionally with operational and executive teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
