Staff Accountant
South Hackensack, NJ | Flexible Schedule
Theater Outsource is working with a well-established
national supplier and manufacturer serving the entertainment industry to find a
detail-oriented Staff Accountant. This position supports daily accounting
operations, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal
controls.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting

What You’ll Do
Support
daily accounting operations across general accounting, accounts
receivable, and accounts payable
Prepare
account schedules and bank reconciliations for month-end close
Reconcile
supporting schedules to the financial statements
Compile
sales, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory reports
Assist
with external CPA reviews and lender field examinations
Prepare
monthly sales tax reports for review and filing
Assist
with monthly sales commission calculations
Help
maintain documented accounting procedures and internal controls
Support
the annual budgeting process
Develop
training materials and videos covering departmental procedures
Provide
backup accounting coverage when needed
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting with 2–3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent
hands-on accounting experience
Experience
in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, installation, rental, or a
similar business environment preferred
Strong
Microsoft Excel skills
Working
knowledge of accounting software
Experience
with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus
Exposure
to cost accounting, construction accounting, or prevailing-wage projects
is helpful
Strong
analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Consistent
attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
Initiative,
reliability, and a willingness to learn
Ability
to communicate and collaborate across departments
