    OverviewSenior Staff Accountant - Manufacturing IndustryLocation: Sacramento, CAEmployment Type: Full-Time | On-siteRecruiting Through: Ledgent Finance & AccountingLedgent Finance & Accounting is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the Sacramento region that is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant . This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong manufacturing industry expertise and full-cycle accounting capabilities.ResponsibilitiesPerform full-cycle general ledger management , including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliationsSupport month-end and year-end close with accuracy and timely reportingAssist with cost accounting functions , including labor, overhead, materials, and inventory reviewPrepare and analyze WIP schedules , job costing, and production variance reportsManage multi‑entity accounting and intercompany transactions (as applicable)Partner with operations and production departments to ensure accurate financial dataAssist with audit preparation , financial statements, and internal controlsSupport process improvements and recommend efficiencies in accounting workflowsQualifications3-6+ years of accounting experience, with required background in manufacturingStrong understanding of inventory, costing, production accounting, or WIPProficiency in ERP or manufacturing accounting systemsAdvanced Excel skills preferredStrong attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, warehouse, and production leadershipWhy This Opportunity Is AttractiveGrowing, stable manufacturing organizationOpportunity to expand into cost accounting or senior-level finance functionsHands-on exposure to operational accounting, production workflows, and multi-department supportCompetitive compensation and strong benefits packageAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
