Senior Structural Engineer
Atlanta, Georgia

MW Talent is partnering with a well-established, multi-discipline engineering consulting firm to hire a Senior Structural Engineer for its Atlanta, Georgia office.

This is a full-time opportunity for a senior structural engineer who wants to stay hands-on technically while also taking on project leadership, mentoring, client relationship management, and business development. The right candidate will have strong AEC consulting experience, structural design strength, client-facing confidence, and the ability to help lead and grow a team.

This role offers the opportunity to help build and grow the Atlanta structural practice while remaining actively involved in technical engineering and project delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who is already leading projects and mentoring engineers, or someone ready to expand their leadership responsibilities while helping grow the structural practice. The firm is looking for a strong mix of technical design ability, people leadership, and client relationship skills.

This role is a balanced mix of technical execution, leadership, and client-focused business development. The expected balance is approximately 60% to 70% technical engineering and project delivery, 15% to 20% mentoring and team leadership, and 10% to 15% business development, proposal support, networking, and client relationship management.

Business development does not mean the candidate needs to bring a large book of business. The focus is on growing existing client relationships, supporting proposals, staying active in the industry, representing the firm well, and helping create repeat business.

Work Schedule:

  • Coordinate with other offices and discipline groups.
  • Contribute to office goals, department culture, and team growth.
  • Travel as needed for client meetings, project work, and site visits.

Required Experience:
