Senior Superintendent - Ground Up

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Manage site operations, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, site personnel, and other project stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, monitoring progress and addressing potential delays.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation to identify potential issues before they affect delivery.
• Support pre-construction activities, including estimating, cost planning, and reviewing project budgets.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, bid reviews, subcontractor pricing, and the evaluation of construction costs.
• Enforce health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Identify and resolve site-level challenges, coordinating solutions with project managers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor workmanship and conduct site inspections to ensure projects meet contractual requirements and quality expectations.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Provide regular progress updates, identify risks, and contribute to effective project planning and execution.

• Proven experience as a Senior Superintendent, Superintendent, or in a similar senior site management role within commercial construction.
• Demonstrable experience delivering commercial construction projects from inception through to completion.
• Previous experience with construction estimating, including reviewing bids, assessing costs, and understanding project budgets.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience managing multiple trades and maintaining effective working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements and quality control procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the confidence to manage site teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness, including the ability to identify cost efficiencies and understand the financial implications of site decisions.
• A proactive approach to resolving issues and maintaining project momentum.
• Relevant construction qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
