Senior Superintendent | Ground-Up Commercial Projects | NoVA
The Senior Superintendent | Ground-Up Commercial Projects | NoVA will:
- Lead all on-site operations for ground-up commercial construction projects throughout Northern Virginia and surrounding markets.
- Direct day-to-day field activities, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within quality standards, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, architects, owners, and internal project teams.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Perform constructability reviews and proactively identify potential project challenges.
- Oversee site logistics, material procurement and delivery schedules.
- Maintain detailed daily reports, project documentation, and progress tracking.
- Drive quality control initiatives to ensure work meets project requirements and client expectations.
- Promote and enforce jobsite safety programs and OSHA compliance.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle to achieve successful project outcomes.
The Senior Superintendent | Ground-Up Commercial Projects | NoVA will have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
- Proven success leading ground-up construction projects valued at $20M+.
- Ability to independently manage large-scale projects up to $40M.
- Experience within K-12, municipal, government, community, or similar commercial sectors.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification required.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling, safety, and field operations.
- Experience working directly with owners, architects, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, and construction management technology.
- Ability to travel throughout Northern Virginia and nearby project locations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
