Required Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, platform infrastructure operations, or enterprise systems administration supporting Department of Defense (DoD), intelligence, or federal mission environments.
- Infrastructure & Hardware Engineering: Proven experience configuring, cabling, deploying, and maintaining enterprise server hardware, storage devices, and networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, and VLAN configurations).
- Operating Systems: Demonstrated proficiency in administering, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Virtualization & Containers: Demonstrated hands-on experience deploying, managing, and maintaining containerized environments (Docker) and hypervisor platforms (VMware ESXi, KVM, or cloud equivalents).
- Automation & Scripting: Practical ability to write and maintain automation scripts using Python and shell/Bash to interface with REST APIs and manage infrastructure tasks.
- Data & Log Aggregation Platforms: Experience supporting large-scale log aggregation, distributed search clusters, or enterprise telemetry tools (e.g., Elastic Stack [ELK], MDE, Trellix, Tanium).
- Compliance Certification: Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
Preferred Experience
- Sensor & Network Tooling: Direct hands-on experience maintaining network traffic inspection tools (Zeek, Suricata) and telemetry collection pipelines.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform) within secure, air-gapped, or disconnected environments.
- Security Frameworks & STIGs: Experience implementing DISA STIGs, SCAP compliance scans, and supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation lifecycles.
- Detection & Threat Intelligence Alignment: Familiarity with threat intelligence models, attack correlation concepts, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework as applied to platform data ingestion.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $125000.00 to $160,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
