Senior Tax Manager

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager for a well-established public accounting firm in San Jose. The Senior Tax Manager will serve as the firm's lead technical tax expert and primary client advisor for complex engagements. This is a highly client-facing, relationship-driven role requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to build trust through regular in-person interactions. You will partner with experienced Enrolled Agent and will oversee operations and staff, and join a stable, tenured team.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for high-net-worth individuals and business clients
• Build long-term client relationships through proactive, face-to-face engagement
• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns
• Provide strategic tax planning across multi-state and international matters
• Handle advanced areas including foreign reporting, stock compensation, and entity structuring
• Represent clients in IRS/state audits
• Mentor staff and support firm growth initiatives

Qualifications

• CPA (Required)
• 10+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong expertise in complex tax planning, multi-state, and international tax
• Proven client relationship management skills
• Bilingual (Mandarin) - Preferred
