Location: Springfield, MO (Branson or Joplin also possible)

Overview

A large national public accounting firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager in southwest Missouri (Springfield, Branson or Joplin). You will manage tax compliance and advisory services for individuals, partnerships and corporations across a variety of industries, mentor tax professionals and support business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and advisory services for individuals (1040, 1040-NR), partnerships (1065) and corporations (1120, 1120-S)
• Research complex tax matters and communicate findings in well-structured written reports
• Review returns prepared by other staff for accuracy and compliance
• Engage with senior client stakeholders to identify tax issues and implement practical solutions
• Support client growth, retention and business development, including proposals
• Mentor and manage tax professionals with coaching, feedback and career development
• Manage resources, budgets and workflows to deliver engagements on time and on budget
• Contribute to technical publications and internal training; represent the firm at industry events

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field; Master's preferred
• 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting (or corporate tax plus public accounting)
• Current CPA license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Flexibility to travel for client engagements, including occasional overnight stays
