What You'll Be Doing

• 
  
• Serve as the firm's technical accounting expert for Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP), GAAP, IFRS, and insurance regulatory reporting
• 
  
• Research and analyze complex accounting issues and emerging accounting guidance
• 
  
• Advise internal stakeholders on the accounting treatment of sophisticated investment transactions
• 
  
• Lead technical accounting research and prepare accounting memorandums and policy documentation
• 
  
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with insurance accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• 
  
• Support audits, financial reporting, and regulatory filings
• 
  
• Partner with leadership on accounting policy decisions and implementation strategies
• 
  
• Monitor industry developments and provide guidance on new accounting standards
• 
  
• Act as a trusted advisor on complex accounting and reporting matters across the organization
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Strong technical accounting background with experience in GAAP and accounting research
• 
  
• Public accounting, technical accounting, insurance accounting, or financial reporting experience preferred
• 
  
• CPA strongly preferred
• 
  
• Proven ability to interpret complex accounting guidance and communicate conclusions effectively
• 
  
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
• 
  
• Experience preparing technical accounting memorandums and accounting position papers preferred
• 
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•
