Role summary: The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems across commercial and industrial facilities. About the team: The Facility Services HVAC/Refrigeration team ensures the reliable operation and maintenance of Walmart's facilities through expert preventive care, repairs, and safety compliance. The team collaborates closely with management and service providers, maintaining clear communication and integrity. What you''ll do: Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units. Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial equipment. Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime. Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVAC/R codes. Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating skill development. Maintain parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service schedules to meet business priorities. Support on-call rotations and respond promptly to critical service needs. What you''ll bring: Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and ductwork. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial settings. Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R codes. Ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and technical guidance. Proficiency in managing preventive maintenance programs and maintaining detailed work documentation. Effective coordination of service calls, parts inventory, and vendor relationships to meet operational priorities. The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00*

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
