Senior Telecommunications Engineer

Immediate need for a talented Senior Telecommunications Engineer with experience in the Telecom Industry.This is a 12+Months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Southlake, TX. Job ID: 18-54652 Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience. 5 years Linux experience required, certification preferred. Experience with application support of cloud-based infrastructure-as-a-service platforms: OpenStack preferred. Networking experience including managing load balancers and firewalls, troubleshooting connectivity issues, packet capture and analysis, certification preferred. Experience with wireless Telecom technologies including IMS and SMS/MMS messaging systems a plus Familiarity with monitoring tools such as: Irisview, NetScout, Wireshark, SevOne beneficial Knowledge of protocols such as: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, NFS, Diameter, SIP, MSRP, LDAP, SMPP Experience with logging and reporting solutions such as: Logstash, Elasticsearch, and Kibana (ELK), Grafana, or Splunk Scripting skills desired such as: shell, Python, Yaml, Ruby Experience with client processes for submitting configuration requests to various network teams required to complete related system builds a plus Working knowledge of Client processes and procedures for change requests and network implementation preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate ability to work with others to achieve project goals. Excellent written and oral communication skills Must be able to effectively manage changing priorities.
