Senior Utilities Infrastructure Specialist

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Senior Utilities Infrastructure Specialist job in Binghamton, NY. This DIRECT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the public utilities industry. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Operational Smart Grid infrastructure, policies, and tools to keep critical utility applications and facilities efficient, resilient, and secure. In order to be successful in this position, you must have seven plus years of enterprise infrastructure experience with strong network security, routing, and switching skills, including Cisco Nexus virtual switching. Preference will be given to someone with SD-WAN, network security automation, and DevOps experience.

Senior Utilities Infrastructure Specialist Job responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and implement infrastructure changes and improvements following the change management process.
• Maintain NERC CIP compliance and high quality security controls around critical SCADA systems.
• Lead technical implementation plans and the evaluation, selection, and testing of hardware and software.
• Respond to incidents, tasks, and requests within Service Level Agreements and provide 24x7 on call support.
• Partner with internal clients, vendors, and project teams to design and support technical solutions.
• Monitor operational performance for improvement opportunities and mentor team members.

Qualifications:

• Seven plus years of enterprise infrastructure experience
• BS with 8+ years, MS with 5+ years, or AS with 12+ years of technical experience
• Strong routing and switching experience including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, vPC, vxLAN, and Cisco Nexus
• Experience with NAC, microsegmentation, RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, and firewall technologies
• Experience with SDN, load balancing, and scripting
• Ability to provide 24x7 on call support

This direct hire Senior Utilities Infrastructure Specialist job is based in Binghamton, NY. The annual salary for this role ranges from $105,000 - $120,000.
