Sergeant – Security – Evening Shift

 

In this role, the Supervisor provides supervision of the security officers on a day-to-day basis. Apply to join a winning team where you will have an opportunity to engage in hands on experience coordinating the deployment of security personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will conduct building/property patrols, periodic inspections, and evaluate the work performance of officers. You will have a unique chance to show case your writing skills by completing neat and legible incident reports.

This is a full-time evening shift position including rotating weekends, located at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

 

Preferred Criteria:

·        Bachelor’s degree, military experience or 2 years of collegiate courses in criminal justice or related field.

·        Supervisory experience.

·        Driver’s License strongly preferred.

·        NYCFD Certificate of fitness as Fire Safety Director.

 

Required Criteria:

·        High School Diploma or GED

·        NYS Security License.

·        3 years of experience.

·        Special Patrolman status.

·        8 & 16 Hour Security Course

·        Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of starting in role and continue BCLS certification required every 2 years.

·        Basic computer skills.

·        Knowledge of Fire Safety.

·        Basic supervisory skills.

·        Basic training skills.
