Job Description Summary

The Server Assistant (Bus Attendant) is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives covering the food service venues of the hotel. The Bus Attendant sets-up, services, and breaks-down the food and beverage areas where they are assigned ensuring a high level of quality, consistency and service. The Bus Attendant also assists the Restaurant Servers with cleanup of guest tables and restaurant area.

  • Key Job Functions

  • Establish service standards throughout guest experience. Ascertain guest satisfaction.

  • Assist service staff as directed by manager.

  • Supply assigned station with all items needed for daily operation.

  • Serve water, coffee, juice, and other beverages and refills.

  • Clear extra place settings at the table.

  • Maintain customer relations at the table.

  • Complete all closing side work properly.

  • Perform any duties as requested by manager.

  • Handle stress and multiple tasks (to organize service steps).

  • Maintains good interpersonal relations with guests and co-workers.

  • Deliver Passionate & Engaging Service to our Guests

  • You will be passionate and truly engaged in taking care of our guests, recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs in order to exceed their expectations

  • You will consistently deliver our GUEST model:

  • Greet or welcome everyone, warmly with a smile

  • Use eye and ear contact and guest's name

  • Establish/anticipate needs

  • Solve and own all requests/complaints

  • Thank everyone

  • Build solid relationship with your Colleagues

  • Treat colleagues with respect and dignity

Qualifications and Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 1-2 years of restaurant experience
  • Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
