Steeped in rich history with roots dating back to 1857 when it was built as a family farmhouse by August Wastfield, our establishment is not just a restaurant; it's a living testament to the rich history of our town, recognized as a cherished historical landmark by both the city and county.Under new ownership and after over three years of extensive renovation, we are gearing up for a grand reopening in early 2024. As we embark on this exciting chapter, we're seeking passionate individuals to join our team and be a part of something truly special where we offer a casual upscale dining experience serving New American cuisine.Job Summary: As a Barback/Busser for August The Mansion you will be helping to create exceptional experiences for our customers during their visit with us by serving all customers at the bar, creating drinks for the service well, taking to-go orders, and resolving customer issues when necessary.Key Responsibilities
    • Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths or replace dirty tablecloths.
    • Set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies.
    • Scrape and stack dirty dishes/glasses and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchen for cleaning.
    • Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties in dining rooms and bar areas
    • Assist with keeping bar supplies stocked, including glasses, garnishes and other service items
    • Cleaning up spills throughout dining, bar and prep areas 
    • Refilling ice wells in prep and bar areas
    Qualifications:
    • Previous knowledge of food service regulations is preferred. 
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Able to stand for extended periods.
    • Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
    • Food Handler certificate, or willingness to obtain
