Service Porter

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Service Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a smooth operation within our dealership. This position requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently. The Service Porter will be responsible for managing vehicle movement, assisting customers, and supporting the service department in delivering outstanding hospitality.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs upon arrival.
• Manage the parking of vehicles, ensuring proper placement within the dealership lot.
• Drive vehicles safely, including manual transmission when necessary, for service appointments and customer deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area and parking lot.
• Assist with cash handling duties, including cashiering and processing payments as needed.
• Provide support to service technicians by delivering parts or vehicles as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a seamless experience.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide information about services offered at the dealership.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Follow the proper Pick Up and Delivery process according to Ford's standards
• Flexibility for providing guest shuttles
• Working as a team with the other porter and remaining service department personel
• Refueling vehicles as needed
• Maintaining a valid drivers license and following all traffic laws and signage
• Misc. duties per management discretion

Experience

• Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred.
• Familiarity with dealership operations or retail environments is advantageous.
• Experience as a delivery driver is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal abilities.
