Service Technician - HVAC/R

Title: Service Technician – HVAC/R

Territory: Position is remotely based in either Arizona or Texas to travel extensively throughout the South West/Central region to customers with 85-100% travel, including weekends, depending on customer needs.

Company: Largest nationwide distributor and reclaimer of refrigerants in North America.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a broad range of HVAC/R service and refrigerant recovery tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrating full proficiency in core service skills. Supporting customers throughout the assigned territory to create solutions, utilizing internal and external resources. 
• Complete all necessary compliance standards, like Job Safety Analysis (JSA), prior to commencing work. 
• Diagnose and resolve issues with chiller or refrigeration systems and implement repairs. 
• Execute routine & complex service jobs and refrigerant recovery operations with minimal supervision.
• Mentor junior Tech's or assistants on the job that join the team members.
• Join senior level Tech's for highly complex projects to continue learning new skills. 
• Clearly communicate findings, needs, and decisions with customers and internal contacts. 
• Confirm every customer is satisfied prior to leaving the jobsite.

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience with hands-on field service experience (HVAC/R a plus but not required).
• CERTFICATIONS: EPA 608 Universal Certification (required by this level if not obtained earlier). OSHA-10 safety training (or equivalent) is required; OSHA-30 is a plus. HAZMAT handling training or certification is a plus (given frequent work with refrigerants and occasional SF6 gas jobs), forklift operation certification is required (if not already held, must be obtained)
• Valid drivers license and ability to meet DOT requirements for operating service vehicles.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Word, Excel). 
• Ability to travel 85-100% of the time (commercial flights), including weekends as needed.

Compensation:

Full-time employee with an hourly rate of $26-38 per hour depending on experience, plus overtime. Eligible for employer sponsored medical/health benefits, PTO, and 401k + matching.
