Optimization: Continuously work to optimize performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of the network.
Stay current: Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the telecommunications industry.
Essential skills and qualifications
Technical expertise: Deep knowledge of telecommunications networks, protocols, and infrastructure (e.g., Wireline, Optical, wireline, TCP/IP, DNS).
Cloud and virtualization: Experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, and virtualization (vRAN) and optical and central office experience is often required.
Specific technology knowledge: Hands-on experience with specific network functions is a significant plus (e.g., SMF, UPF, AMF, or others).
Education: A degree in a technical field like computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Interpersonal skills: Strong ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams.
