Set Up Machinist

Our client, a leading precision spring and wire form manufacturer, is seeking a CNC Spring Setup Operator/Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Spring Setup Operator, you will be part of the Production team supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and troubleshooting skills that will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist
Location: Grafton, WI
Pay Range: $21-$38/hour (based on experience)

What's the Job?

• Set up, tool, and operate CNC spring coiling machines and related equipment.

• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.

• Monitor production quality, establish control limits, and maintain statistical process control.

• Troubleshoot machine and process issues, making adjustments and programming changes as needed.

• Perform minor machine maintenance, repairs, and tooling replacement to ensure efficient operation.

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years of machining experience, including machine setup.

• Experience with CNC programming and CNC machine operation.

• Ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and equipment repair experience.
