Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Penmac Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Industrial Sewing Machine Operator for a manufacturing company in Lone Jack, MO. This full-time position is perfect for someone with sewing experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products. The Industrial Sewing Machine Operator will work with custom-printed fabrics used for banners, trade show displays, signage, and other specialty products in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements for the Industrial Sewing Machine Operator- Previous sewing experience preferred, especially with industrial sewing machines
- Experience operating straight-stitch and serger machines preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow detailed measurements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work with large or oversized fabric materials
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Responsibilities- Operate industrial sewing machines to sew and finish fabric products
- Prepare, measure, cut, and position fabric according to production specifications
- Sew hems, seams, edges, and other finishes to customer requirements
- Handle and maneuver large fabric rolls and oversized materials
- Read and follow work orders and production instructions
- Inspect completed products for quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Identify and correct sewing defects when needed
- Make basic machine adjustments, including changing thread and needles
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards
- Assist with additional production and finishing duties as assigned
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements
- Ability to bend, reach, and move materials throughout the workday
- Ability to handle and position large pieces of fabric
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
