Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for projects located in or around Grand Rapids, MI. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Install and assemble rectangular HVAC sheet metal ductwork
- Measure, mark, and cut duct sections to required dimensions
- Drill holes in sheet metal and prepare components for installation
- Fasten seams and joints together using screws and approved fastening methods
- Install and secure duct systems according to project specifications
- Perform additional sheet metal duties as directed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of sheet metal or HVAC duct installation experience
- Apprentice and Journeyman-level candidates encouraged to apply
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble ductwork
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- No certifications required
