| Job Title: Shift Grinder Location: Hartville OH 44632 Duration: 6+ Months Contract Job Description: Position Overview: " The Shift Grinder is responsible for operating grinding equipment to shape, smooth, and finish metal components according to production specifications. " This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring product quality, maintaining equipment performance, and following all safety and quality procedures during assigned shifts. Primary Duties: " Set up and operate grinding machines and related equipment. " Grind metal parts to meet required dimensions and surface finish specifications. " Inspect finished components using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. " Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and production standards. " Load and unload materials and workpieces safely. " Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of grinding equipment. " Identify and report equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety concerns. " Maintain accurate production records and inspection documentation. " Follow all OSHA, company safety, and manufacturing procedures. " Support continuous improvement initiatives and production goals. Required Qualifications: " High school diploma or equivalent required. " 1 3 years of experience in grinding, machining, metal finishing, or a manufacturing environment preferred. " Ability to read basic blueprints, work instructions, and production documents. " Experience using precision measuring instruments. " Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation. " Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. " Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. " Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. " Willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. |
