Founded in Chicago in 2007, Sugar Bliss is a retail bakery specializing in handcrafted desserts for individuals, businesses, and special occasions. Offering a wide range of treats, including cupcakes, cookies, macarons, and custom desserts, the company expanded into packaged retail cookies in 2022. Based in downtown Chicago, Sugar Bliss is committed to quality, creativity, and making every occasion a little sweeter.

Job Highlights

• Lead daily shift operations by delegating tasks, motivating team members, resolving conflicts, and ensuring timely completion of daily priorities
• Support opening and closing procedures, manage daily Asana tasks, and maintain store readiness, product quality, and company standards
• Monitor and replenish product, packaging, and supply inventory while receiving deliveries and communicating restocking needs
• Train and support team members, foster an inclusive workplace, and deliver exceptional guest service through clear, friendly communication
• Drive sales and provide a consistent, premium guest experience while meeting physical requirements, maintaining flexible availability, and following food safety standards

Candidate Profile

• 1+ year of retail leadership experience, preferably in food service or retail
• Strong communication, customer service, math, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and perform all store roles as needed
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays; Asana or similar task management experience preferred
• ServSafe certification required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
