Shift Manager Electrical Maintenance

Location Cleveland OHCleveland-Cliffs Steel LLC has immediate opportunities for Shift Manager Electrical Maintenance positions at our Cleveland Ohio facility. This front-line leadership role is responsible for leading skilled maintenance employees and directing day-to-day electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe reliable and efficient operations.The successful candidate will drive equipment reliability support continuous improvement initiatives develop employee capabilities and promote a strong culture of safety accountability and operational excellence.Summary of ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with all safety environmental and quality standards conduct safety quality and environmental audits in a timely manner.Lead and supervise Maintenance Technician Electrical MTEs providing day-to-day direction to support safe reliable and efficient maintenance operations.Maintain and develop expertise in the electrical automation and maintenance systems within the assigned area to support troubleshooting maintenance planning and continuous improvement efforts.Manage the maintenance and repair of electrical and automation equipment within the assigned area to maximize equipment availability and performance.Coach mentor and develop employees while ensuring they have the tools training and resources needed to perform their work safely and effectively.Manage maintenance budgets and resources using sound project management principles and a thorough understanding of equipment maintenance requirements.Partner with Operations Engineering Purchasing Continuous Improvement Accounting vendors suppliers and peers across the organization to develop and execute maintenance strategies that improve equipment reliability and operational performance.Weekends and shift work may be required.Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.Minimum of two years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing industrial military or other relevant operations environment.Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.Ability to work in a demanding industrial environment including exposure to heat dust uneven surfaces stairs ladders and outdoor weather conditions.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Preferred QualificationsBachelors degree from an accredited educational institution in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.Three 3 years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing industrial or military environment.Two 2 years of supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing industrial or military environment.Experience working with a unionized workforce.Experience working in a steel mill.Experience with PLCs process automation systems drives instrumentation ACDC industrial controls power distribution systems and ACDC motors.Working knowledge of basic mechanical equipment such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems pumps and process water systems mechanical power transmission lubrication and overhead cranes.Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.The salary range for this role is 70000 to 110000.
