SHIFT SUPVR SAWMILL - WALDO, AR

Oversees the production of quality lumber as possible in a safe and efficient manner.

The salary range for this position is $65,625.00 to $109,375.00.

The compensation range represents low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.

This position is bonus eligible, with a target value of 10% of salary.

Daily Job Duties:

• Works with all operators to verify machines are operating correctly and addresses problems and/or questions.
• Reviews maintenance issues with Maintenance Supervisor and writes work orders as needed.
• Prepares production reports at the end of each shift.
• Ensures lumber from all machine centers is produced to quality standards
• Makes sure that employees follow safety procedures in order to maintain a safe work environment.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Responsible for training and certification of employees for their job tasks.
• Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
• Maintains the professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-4 years' experience in the lumber mill field.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Have excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory skills.
• Background in sawmill production.
• Background in maintenance.
• Working knowledge of sawmill equipment.
• Knowledge of quality control program.
• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time.
