Job Overview:

Helps to implement shipping and receiving policy and throughput, uses electronic receiving programs, and processes in support of the organization's overall Procurement cycle Procure to Pay strategy. Applies practical knowledge of shipping, receiving and logistics to coordinate best of class policies, procedures, and plans for the area. Responsible for work associated with receiving, logistics and shipping goods for all types of business processes applicable to the organization, including indirect operations such as office supplies, computers, MRO, Medicines and machine parts.

Essential Functions:

• Works under general supervision to accomplish key tasks for the Procurement Shipping and Receiving team, following best practices and techniques in order to meet organizational standards of excellence.
• Conducts routine receiving and shipping activities including the transfer of goods, sipping confirmations, Ariba purchase order matching, data entry and input. USPS pick up and bulk mail or package staging.
• Supports 3-way matching and reporting by gathering and inputing data on shipments and returns.
• Collaborates with operations department and other staff to align the free flow of items across NYRA locations.
• Assists in resolving frequently occuring queries and escalating complex issues to Shipping and Receiving Manager.
• Utilizes experience and a comprehensive understanding of area processes and tools to contribute to more difficult components of developing the department and its impact to NYRA.

Pay Range / Salary: $27.94-$31.58 per hour
