Shipping Assistant
Location: Gainesville, TX
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Penmac Staffing is seeking a reliable and motivated Shipping Assistant to join our team in Gainesville, TX. This role is responsible for supporting daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Successful candidates will have experience operating forklifts, handling inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving functions while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities
- Unload incoming shipments and submit materials to the appropriate shipping personnel.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for product defects and accuracy.
- Assemble cardboard containers or select pre-assembled containers for shipping.
- Post weights and shipping charges and affix appropriate postage.
- Route items to the appropriate departments.
- Assist the Shipping Technician with inventory control activities.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work area, including the shipping yard.
- Follow all safety requirements and safe work practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift and other material-handling equipment experience required. (Candidates must have prior forklift experience and will be required to successfully complete a forklift skills test.)
- Experience with SAP and inventory management systems preferred.
