Shipping Associate

 VGM Fulfillment is a national leader in CPAP machine and resupply order fulfillment. As an employee-owned company, every person at VGM has a personal stake in seeing business succeed.  Position Summary: This role will assist in day-to-day operations of the Picking Associates on the floor and making operations run smoothly. Shippers will be operating at a computer station and checking packages for accuracy. This will require a team-player mentality, and you will also be committed to maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

Working Location: Lebanon, TN Warehouse

Work Hours Classification: 

• Full-Time Monday-Thursday [6am-4:30pm]
• Full-Time Monday-Friday [6am-2:30pm]

Key Responsibilities: 

• Consistently meets or exceeds departmental expectations.  

• Shipping small parcel packages  

• Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors  

• Keep the warehouse clean and organized 

• Report any order discrepancies or issues to management 

• Handle errors that are found at the shipping station  

• Maintain a clean and safety work environment to prevent accidents and injuries 

• Maintain compliance, safety, and quality standards by ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures 

• Following safety procedures, maintaining precise records of all product movements, and implementing quality control measures are also crucial 

• Capable of working overtime if needed, including extra hours during the week and some Saturday mornings. 

• Maintain a clear and organized work environment by ensuring all work areas are kept tidy and free of hazards by regularly cleaning and organizing tools, equipment, and materials.

 Key Qualifications: 

• Ability to multitask and prioritize 

• High school education  

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for most of the workday. 

• Ability to perform repetitive physical activities, including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching for extended periods. 

• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry items weighing up to 5 pounds regularly, with the assistance of carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment as needed. 

• Ability to safely use carts, dollies, hand trucks, barcode scanners, and other equipment to locate, retrieve, and transport products. 

• Visual abilities sufficient to read labels, product information, safety notices, computer screens, and work instructions, including distance and peripheral vision. 

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English or Spanish, as necessary to safely perform the essential functions of the position, including understanding work instructions, product labels, safety procedures, equipment operation requirements, and workplace communications.
