American Products is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our Operations team. This position is responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse organization to help keep operations running efficiently.
What Youll Do
Prepare and process outgoing shipments using the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods
Create bills of lading and verify shipments against work orders
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and deliveries
Sort, package, label, and organize inventory and materials
Deliver materials to appropriate departments and project locations
Track and resolve shipment issues, including proof of delivery requests
Support warehouse organization and 5S initiatives
Participate in weekly cycle counts and inventory control activities
Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records
Obtain freight quotes and coordinate shipments
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, hand dollies, and forklifts
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred
Experience with ERP systems, such as Syteline, is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to work safely and follow all PPE and safety requirements
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally
Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
