As a Shipping Manager, you'll oversee daily shipping operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time. Youll work closely with warehouse teams and logistics partners to optimize shipping processes and maintain inventory accuracy, helping the company operate smoothly and efficiently.
What You'll Do
As the Shipping Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing shipping and outbound operations, including order picking, packing, labeling, and dispatching.
- Supervising warehouse staff, assigning daily responsibilities, monitoring productivity, and fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Coordinating with freight carriers and negotiating rates to ensure reliable and cost-effective deliveries.
- Managing order fulfillment processes, from picking to routing, to meet delivery deadlines.
- Controlling inventory through receiving, cycle counts, and returns, minimizing discrepancies.
- Utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory software to streamline operations.
- Ensuring orders are verified, properly packaged, and documented according to compliance standards.
- Maintaining shipping documentation and adhering to domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Monitoring shipping performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions.
- Keeping the warehouse organized, clean, and safe to promote a productive work environment.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Minimum of 2 years experience managing shipping or warehouse operations.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Background in wholesale or retail distribution; experience with 3PL or mixed-SKU warehouses is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of outbound logistics, freight, and order fulfillment processes.
- Leadership experience supervising warehouse teams and maintaining accountability.
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF devices, and inventory software like NetSuite and RF-SMART (preferred).
- Solid understanding of receiving, packing, cycle counts, and quality assurance procedures.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse environment.
