Shipping Manager

A growing specialty products manufacturer in Dutchess County, NY is hiring a hands-on Shipping Manager to run its warehouse and fulfillment operation. This leader works from the floor, keeps orders moving accurately across small-parcel and wholesale channels, and builds a team that takes pride in getting it right.

What You'll Own

• Daily operations of a 14,000 sq ft warehouse (about 1,600 pallet positions): receiving, put-away, picking, packing and shipping
• Small-parcel fulfillment: rate-shop across UPS, FedEx and USPS, control cost per order, and keep direct-to-consumer orders on time
• Wholesale shipping: build pallets, book and manage LTL/FTL freight, and meet retail routing-guide and compliance requirements (BOLs, labeling, ASNs)
• Inventory accuracy through cycle counts, lot traceability and FIFO rotation
• Lead, schedule, train and develop the warehouse crew
• Track and improve KPIs: on-time ship rate, order accuracy, cost per shipment and safety
• Continuously improve warehouse layout, processes and systems

What You Bring

• 3+ years managing or supervising a warehouse or shipping operation
• Hands-on wholesale freight experience: LTL/FTL, pallet building, carrier booking and retail routing guides
• Strong small-parcel knowledge, including rate shopping and shipping software such as ShipStation or ShippingEasy
• Comfort with WMS/ERP and inventory systems, plus solid spreadsheet skills
• A player-coach style; forklift experience and the ability to stay active on the floor
• Experience with lot tracking and FIFO is a strong plus
