We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate in Whitestown, IN. This is a hands-on role that blends forklift operation with manual shipping and receiving work, so you won’t spend your whole day on a fork truck. You’ll receive incoming shipments, verify parts against purchase orders and packing slips, and prepare outgoing shipments so every order leaves our facility accurate and well protected. Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials as needed.
- Perform manual shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading, staging, counting, and packing parts.
- Receive incoming goods and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks.
- Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and confirm that each delivery matches its packing slip.
- Operate wrapping machines to wrap, secure, and prepare parts for shipment, making sure products are protected during handling and transportation.
- Support other areas of the warehouse as needed.
Requirements
- Comfortable splitting time between forklift operation and hands-on manual labor
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions
- Flexibility to work in a variety of roles
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check
- Ability to lift up to at least 55lbs
