Shipping & Receiving Associate – Experience Required

Seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate for a warehouse/distribution environment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and have hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.

• Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.

• Load and unload trucks while following proper safety procedures.

• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.

• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), scanners, and computer software to track inventory and shipments.

• Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.

• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas.

• Coordinate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure timely order processing.

• Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.

• Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements

• Previous shipping and receiving experience REQUIRED.

• Experience preparing shipping documents, verifying orders, and processing incoming and outgoing freight.

• Familiarity with inventory control, RF scanners, and warehouse management systems.

• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter and maintain records.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet daily productivity expectations.

• Dependable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials throughout the shift, with lifting requirements determined by the position.

• Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred.

Important: Applicants must have previous hands-on shipping and receiving experience. General warehouse experience alone may not meet the qualifications for this position.
