This role is responsible for receiving raw materials, staging work for production, and shipping finished fabricated and welded parts accurately and on time. This position plays a key role in keeping production moving and meeting customer delivery commitments.ResponsibilitiesReceive incoming materials including steel, sheet metal, pipe, fittings, and shop suppliesVerify quantities, condition, packing slips, and basic material traceabilityStage material for fabrication and welding crewsPrepare fabricated and welded assemblies for shipmentPackage, band, palletize, and crate parts to prevent damageLoad and unload flatbeds and box trucks safelyOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes Maintain accurate inventory and shipping recordsCommunicate shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisorsKeep shipping/receiving, yard, and staging areas clean and organizedFollow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policiesQualificationsShipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferredManufacturing or metal shop experience strongly preferredForklift experience required; crane experience a plusAbility to read packing slips, shop travelers, and basic documentationBasic computer skills for inventory and shipping systemsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shiftStrong attention to detail and accountabilityReliable attendance - showing up matters in this roleWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly pay with overtime opportunitiesSteady, consistent work in a production environmentBenefits package [health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.]Paid time off and holidaysA straightforward shop culture that values safety, quality, and teamworkTo learn more about GAT Systems, please visit gat-systems.com.
