The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, storing, and shipping products and materials accurately and efficiently. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting the service, parts, and production departments while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
Inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
Accurately enter receiving and shipping information into the company inventory system.
Label, organize, and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments using appropriate packaging methods.
Coordinate shipments with freight carriers, parcel services, and local delivery providers.
Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts and physical inventories.
Assist parts, service, and production departments by locating and delivering needed materials.
Keep the warehouse, receiving dock, and shipping areas clean, organized, and safe.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Dispose of packaging materials and maintain recycling procedures when applicable.
Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
Basic computer skills
Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Basic mathematical and inventory counting skills.
