Shipping & Receiving Specialist

1st Shift - 7-3:30pm (Mon-Fri) - MANDATORY OT
SHIPPING AND RECEIVING SPECIALIST - 2 OPENINGS

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
1) Ensure shipping and receiving processes are performed efficiently and accurately
2) Enter job number in WW3 and verify part number and footage
3) Prepare hose for shipping by creating boxes, filing with applicable hose and quantity, labeling and arranging conformance certificates
4) Call freight carriers for pickup as needed
5) Prepare all shipping documents for transfer
6) Help with unloading trucks and check for damage before accepting deliveries
7) Receive all raw material, equipment, facility and production supplies into WW3, label accordingly and place in safe area
8) Assist with maintaining accuracy of inventory in warehouse
9) Update shipping and receiving logs
10) Partner with planner, production supervisor and team leads to coordinate communication and efficiency of operation projects
11) Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices
12) Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines
13) Report production issues to Direct Lead
14) Perform work of an equal or lower classification

Minimum Qualifications (relevant experience, education and/or training):
1) High School Diploma or GED, recognizes International Diplomas (may need to be translated to English)
2) U.S. citizen or permanent residency status required
3) Must be able to work and communicate with peers
4) Must be able to write legibly, read and speak English
5) Must be able to adapt to production needs to satisfy customer demands
6) Ability to neatly and accurately complete forms and other documentation
7) Must be comfortable using pallet jack and standing forklift
8) Basic understanding of lean fundamentals preferred
9) Basic computer skills preferred
10) Read work orders & specifications with strong attention to detail and accuracy
