Shipping & Receiving Supervisor – Night Shift

Location: Baytown, TX
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Night shift; 8–12-hour shifts, with flexibility for weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Openwork is seeking an experienced and dependable Shipping & Receiving Supervisor for a warehouse facility in Baytown. This hands-on position oversees shipping and receiving activities, supports forklift operations, and leads a team to ensure freight moves safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise shipping and receiving employees, assign daily tasks, and monitor workflow.

• Coordinate dock operations to meet shipping schedules and receiving requirements.

• Operate a forklift and assist with loading and unloading domestic and export freight.

• Verify shipment quantities, inspect freight, and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.

• Resolve shipment discrepancies and communicate updates to the appropriate departments.

• Enforce company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Communicate clearly with employees, management, and other departments.

• Use Microsoft 365 and warehouse management systems to support daily operations.

• Assist with forklift driver duties and other operational needs as required.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping and receiving supervisory experience.

• Hands-on forklift experience, including loading domestic and export freight.

• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and attention to detail.

• Basic math skills to verify quantities and maintain accurate records.

• Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft 365, and willingness to learn the company’s warehouse management system.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Availability to work nights, 8–12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

• Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting 55 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds when needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Petrochemical industry experience preferred.

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
