GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Responsible for directing all daily activities of the Shipping Operations including labor scheduling, customer order fulfillment, woodshop custom packaging, supervising and coaching to achieve daily goals and customer satisfaction while ensuring all safety programs, inventory/quality expectations and service levels are being met. This position reports directly to the Parts Distribution Center Manager.
This position covers our 2nd Shift operations Monday-Friday from 10am-7pm.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and schedule daily workforce allocation
Understand barcode scanning system processes and requirements to provide support/direction and training as needed
Validate Data, record data and manage Team performance using DPR (Daily Performance Tool)
Monitor and Review individual job performance and coach as needed
Understand and manage end-to-end supply chain, inventory, and order processes within the Reflex System.
Insure Inventory and Quality Control Standards & Practices are being followed and meet expectations as they relate to customer order fulfillment
Responsible to help maintain cleanliness and 5S standards within the operation and continue to help develop the 5S program in the areas
Participate in budget preparation and capex projects
Working with Parts Distribution, Technology, and Projects Manager
Responsible for managing supplies for all warehouse supplies and safety equipment in the department
Monitoring of safety program, safety training & recordkeeping
Report quality and performance KPIs & practice root cause investigation and prevention of new occurrences to reduce errors in the department
Oversee Export Program, weekly air shipments, monthly ocean shipments and sensitive documentation is managed and filed appropriately
Responsible for carpentry custom packaging and ensuring safe practices are being followed to prevent injuries
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job function while using safe lifting requirements
Must be willing to be cross-trained in other areas in the warehouse as needed
Must perform within the Company Safety Program & Policies
EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of experience leading a team within a Manufacturing or Distribution facility
Previous experience with a Barcode Scanning System/handheld preferred
Previous experience using an ERP system
Proficient in data entry, typing & number pad
Forklift Certification preferred (order picker, reach truck) - must be able to pass the forklift certification test
EXPERTISE:
Must be a self-starter, motivated and focused to work independently within the established perimeters assigned
Must have solid communication and coaching skills
Computer skills are a must; Google Suite, reporting and data entry
Must be able to work with others and focus on team empowerment
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Learn Lean Philosophy within the organization to focus on and participate in Continuous Improvement & Learning to improve processes, efficiencies and increased profitability
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field; experience considered in lieu of
3-5 years experience in shipping operations with a focus on warehouse or lean management
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:
Internal Connections: Supervisors, Associates, Parts Logistics Team, Purchasing
External Connections: Customers, Vendors
What does MANITOU Group offer?
Base Salary Range between $65,000 - $75,000 per year, plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
*Actual pay determined by experience level, skills, qualifications & work location
This position is located onsite in Belvidere, IL.
Travel Requirements - could potentially travel periodically to North American Headquarters in West Bend, WI

For some of the services we offer (particularly those accessible via the web), we use specialist partners (considered as subcontractors) who may host data outside France and the European Union. For example, we use partners such as IT service providers, social network providers and marketing agencies. How long will your personal data be kept? Your personal data is kept for as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes, in accordance with legal or regulatory obligations and internal procedures. In this context, your personal data is processed for a maximum of twelve months after the last use of your candidate account. In the French companies of Manitou Group, personal data is archived for a maximum of five years after the last use of your candidate account. In the event of litigation, Manitou Group companies and subsidiaries may retain personal data until the end of legal proceedings. Security Given the nature of personal data and the risks involved in processing it, Manitou Group implements technical and organisational security measures to protect the security and confidentiality of the data under our supervision against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss or destruction, and against access to such data by unauthorised persons. Our safety procedures are constantly being improved as new technologies emerge. What are your rights and how can you exercise them? You have a number of rights regarding the protection of your personal data :
Right to be informed: In order to guarantee fair and transparent processing, you may receive from Manitou Group companies any information concerning the processing of your personal data.
Rights of access and rectification: You have the right to request access to your personal data and to rectify inaccurate data. Under this right of access, you may obtain confirmation as to whether or not your personal data is being processed and, if so, access to it.
Right to erasure: You have the right to obtain the deletion of your personal data in certain cases, such as when the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
