This full-time Monday-through-Friday position will assemble wire configure test and prepare security system components for installation by field technicians with training provided for candidates without security or electrical experience. Success in this role requires attention to detail reliability comfort working with tools and technology pride in producing clean and organized work and a willingness to learn the security integration trade.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble and pre-wire security system components including panels enclosures power supplies and device kits according to drawings and build sheets.Terminate label and dress wiring so it is clean consistent and easy for field crews to install.Pre-program and configure devices including IP cameras and related equipment using established standard settings.Bench test assemblies and devices before they are shipped to job sites and report equipment that does not pass testing.Stage completed assemblies and materials for upcoming projects.Maintain a clean organized and safe shop environment.Properly use and care for tools and test equipment.Assist the warehouse with receiving inventory counts and deliveries as needed.Support other shop and project-related tasks as needed to keep projects moving.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Comfort working with hand tools and small parts.Strong attention to detail and pride in producing neat high-quality work.Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn device configuration software.Ability to follow drawings build sheets and written instructions.Reliability and the ability to work independently after learning established processes.Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.Preferred QualificationsPrior shop assembly electrical low-voltage or trade school experience.Experience with low-voltage wiring electronics assembly or control panel building.Familiarity with basic IP networking concepts or security devices.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentWork in a shop environment while standing at a workbench for most of the day.Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds with team assistance available for heavier items.Regularly use hand tools power tools computers and test equipment.Perform detailed assembly and wiring tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual attention.Occasionally travel to job sites or other locations to assist with deliveries.The wage for this role is 23 to 28 per hour based on experience and qualifications.As part of the DU Family of Companies we believe that empowering and investing in our employees as leaders develops an organization that delivers innovative solutions and services that create a superior customer experience.
